Rent DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller remote control to add aerial cinematic footages for your video production in Thailand! Mavic 2 is a compact quadrotor drone with an integrated, Hasselblad-designed, gimbal-stabilized 4K camera and is a follow-up to the popular Mavic 2 Pro. Its the first DJI drones that shoot HDR, or high dynamic range, footage. I’m personally not a fan of HDR videos or photos because it often looks over-processed, unnatural, and way too saturated. You don’t get that with the Mavic 2’s HLG HDR, but you also won’t really notice a massive difference between the different shooting modes. For someone who maybe doesn’t want to color footage in post-production, this could be a good option. For me, the 10-bit D-log M profile has enough data retained that I just decided to color those myself for a similar effect.
Key features include:
- 10-bit Dlog-M or HDR with 20MP 4K Hasselblad camera
- 45 mph max speed in sport mode
- 31-minute flight time & up to 5 miles line-of sight control
- DJI Smart Controller included
This rental includes the DJI Smart Controller which is an upgrade to the standard Mavic remote. The Smart Controller’s integrated 5.5″ LCD can display a daylight viewable, HD video feed up to 60p and flight data plus it allows you to easily share and stream your footage using the SkyTalk and DJI Go Share apps. Rated for 2.5 hours of use on a single charge, DJI boasts line-of-sight drone control up to 5 miles in ideal conditions. We find that rating to be unrealistic but with the DJI OcuSync 2.0’s auto-switching technology, this drone is capable auto-detecting the strongest local signals for improved transmission reliability.
- Excellent image quality
- True flat color profile for video
- Reliable flying controls
Camera
DJI Mavic 2 Pro shoot video in UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 30 frames per second. While shooting in 1080p, the drone has the capability of extending that up to 120 frames per second. A photo mode offers the choice of 5472 × 3648 pixel DNG raw or jpeg images
