Introducing the New ROLLFLEX 8-Series Lighting System
The new ROLLFLEX 8-Series lighting control system offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing stepless color temperature adjustment from 2800K to 10,000K, as well as green-magenta balance (GM ±1.0) for precise color correction. It supports full RGB color control and HSI (Hue, Saturation, Intensity) adjustment, giving you total creative freedom.
What sets the 8-Series apart is its built-in Gel Mode, featuring a library of popular LEE and ROSCO gel filters. Simply select a filter code to instantly recreate cinematic color effects—no need for physical gels.
The system also includes a powerful Effects Mode with a range of pre-programmed lighting effects such as police lights, candlelight, lightning, and more. These effects can be activated instantly without any programming, making them perfect for dynamic studio environments.
Advanced connectivity is built in, with high-resolution 16-bit PWM output, DMX-512 signal support, and smartphone app control for remote operation and scene adjustments.

Why do we need honeycomb grid?
Open softbox usually gives you a wide angle of soft light, with very broad and smooth edges, it will be very difficult to divide the background into two parts with different brightness. The situation changes radically if we put honeycomb grid over the softbox, it then give you a decent amount of soft light with the sharper edges, and now the model/object is divided into lit and unlit parts.
