As demonstrated by Jaxon Schriever of BLAZAR, the Mantis series features a 14-blade oval IRIS placed toward the rear of the lens. This iris stays perfectly oval across the entire T-stop range, which is key to maintaining consistent and pronounced oval bokeh in out-of-focus areas—a signature of true 2x anamorphic lenses.
