We rent out our Zoom F4 professional sound device in Bangkok, this iconic sound recorder brings big Hollywood-style sound to smaller budget sets and is ideal for any project that requires professional field recording for your video production in Thailand.
Zoom F4 allows your production in Thailand to stay in a budget with professional sound recording equipment. The Zoom F4 Multitrack Field Recorder is a 4-channel XLR recorder with optionally 6-input/8-track sound tool with super low-noise mic preamps, accurate timecode, and overload protection. It records in BWF-compatible WAV format at 16-bit and 24-bit resolution and at any standard rate up to 192 kHz. Multitrack recording can be done on 4 XLR/TRS combo inputs, a 3.5mm stereo input, and a Zoom mic capsule input (such as the Zoom EXH-6 Dual XLR/TRS Input, which is not included). Input 5/6 allows for camera return for monitoring and the dual SD card slots let you record simultaneously for instant backups. This unit comes with an AC adapter and a DTAP adapter cable to power from V-Mount battery and you can optionally power this recorder with 8 AA batteries. The built-in 100mW headphone amplifier provides plenty of volume in noisy environments and alert tones can be set so that you don’t get caught with low power or miss recording errors. An onboard mixer provides flexible signal routing from all inputs to all outputs with user-adjustable level, pan, and input/output delay while a built-in high-pass filter reduces wind noise.

Thailand is a popular destination for filmmakers looking to shoot a wide range of projects, from documentaries and music videos to feature films. If you’re planning on filming in Thailand, you may be wondering how different in Asia to go about hiring film equipment compare to your country. Most rental houses in Thailand do not offer DRY HIRE options for camera and lighting equipment. This can be a surprise for foreign filmmakers who are used to hiring equipment separately from the crew, but really it’s usual in Thailand. Rental houses have own crews who are trained to operate the equipment safely and efficiently. This ensures that everything runs smoothly on set and helps to avoid any mishaps or accidents.
When contacting a rental house, for a detailed breakdown of costs so that you can avoid any surprises later on, be clear about the equipment list and package for equipment in a quote to avoid problems on film set. In addition to the equipment rental fees, you’ll also need to factor in the cost of crew members, transportation, and any additional services you may need.
.
Also you able to provide details about your shoot, such as the location, the type of project, your local production coordinator’s contact and the duration of the shoot. This will help the rental house determine what crew members they will need to provide and what additional services they can offer, such as transportation or catering and make sure that production not go to shoot guerilla or without permits for locations.
