Fast & Furious 9 is a Hollywood action film directed by Justin Lin and written by Dan Casey. Some of the episodes for this film was shot locally here in Thailand till the end of July 2019.
Service production and local crew for this job were accorded to Preston Films. Lighting and grip crew for American movie was provided by local rental VS Service. Should be noticed that most of the equipment as camera, lenses and accessories, lighting, diffusers, car grip and rigging for shoot Fast & Furious in Thailand came from aboard with the american crew. Filming permit for Fast & Furious 9 was for Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani for both Camera Units. Most of the scenes done at Amphoe Muang Krabi location.
The Krabi Governor said he would like to welcome the production crew and cast, as they have improved the well-being of community members. He has called on all sides to be a good host, make them feel welcome, and help protect the environment. He said the production crew has to comply with the law and coordinate with relevant agencies before setting up a temporary office in Krabi for their own convenience. Totally for shoot Fast & Furious 9 part in Thailand production spent near 350 million baht for chase scenes, so everyone on film-set was happy to be in a cast and get cool FF9 cap, t-shirt and a piece of American pie.
Sadly, but there was no Vin Diesel and Jason Statham on set in Thailand. Instead of them, stuntmen did their perform chase scenes. One of a stuntman working on Fast & Furious 9 suffered a major injury while filming a scene but totally shooting was done in time.
Fast & Furious 9 will star Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.Fast & Furious 9 is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020 by Universal Pictures.
