Compact Handheld Design. While still maintaining the familiar URSA design, the Mini’s more compact size allows it to be used by smaller crews and fewer hands. The optional shoulder mount makes the URSA Mini even more versatile, allowing you to swap it from hand-held shooting to over-the-shoulder use to a tripod mount with ease. The magnesium-alloy build cuts the Mini’s weight to just five pounds.
Touchscreen Controls. Despite its reduced size, the URSAMini comes equipped with a 5-inch, 1,920 × 1,080 folding monitor. A touchscreen interface allows access to all menu functions, eliminating the hassle of menu-diving.
Professional Connections
- The URSA Mini features multiple connections such as 12G-SDI out, HD-SDI monitoring out, two LANC inputs, balanced XLR audio with phantom power, timecode-in, and reference input. On the front right side of the camera, the 4-pin XLR DC and HD-SDI monitoring output are located in the perfect position for connecting to an optional viewfinder or on set monitor. The 12G-SDI output handles up to 2160p60 using a single BNC cable, and switches to 6G-SDI or HD-SDI depending on the shooting format.
